Kennedy was my doula for our baby girl in October! She was my first born so I was naturally nervous, excited, scared and just a mix of emotions. I knew I wanted to give birth in a hospital but still have a doula as a dedicated support person while in labor. Kennedy educated me on what to expect, creating birth plans and helping me prepare physically and mentally during our two prenatal visits. Kennedy was very kind and accommodating to my plan and helped me understand the pros and cons of everything while maintaining realistic expectations. She was very responsive to all of my texts and calls and my thousands of questions! When I went into early labor she was coaching me Theough when to go to the hospital. If it wasn't for her I would have been sitting in a hospital bed for much longer but I was able to labor at home until my contractions got strong enough to go in. During labor she met me at the hospital as soon as I got there and was extemely professional and knew exactly how my labor was progressing and what support I needed in the moment. She is patient, kind and does not push her beliefs onto you. She respects if you want medication or not and will make sure your plan is followed as close as possible during labor. She also helped us hold the hospital staff accountable to what I had planned and gave my husband tips on how he can helo. She also has lactation experience which has been very helpful post partum. I had an amazing experience with Kennedy, and as my husband would agree, we couldn't have done it without her!
