We are offering low-income BIPOC SCHOLARSHIPS. Deadline to apply: 5/15. We are Los Angeles' premiere perinatal health education training agency, having educated over 350 people in birth arts and maternal child health education. We have granted scholarships for birth art training for 60 BIPOC individuals since 2020. We have provided in-service training for health and human service professionals since 2010. We have an immediate opening for a Postpartum Doula to work in our Nurturing Roots Postpartum Doula Program in Los Angeles County, CA. This project is part of LA Care's Generating Support for African-American Infants and Nurturers (GAAINS II) initiative to improve birth outcomes for African American mothers and infants in Los Angeles. This unique program is the first of it's kind and the only Postpartum Doula Support Program for African-American families who have Medi-Cal and reside in Los Angeles County.
