Training offered

Birth Doula/Birth Coach 12-week hybrid training. This training is a combination of virtual (11 modules) and on-site learning (3 in-person). There will also be weekly live zoom calls (highly recommended to attend in person live but will be recorded) to have all your questions answered and/or to expand on the content. Includes a 600+ page curriculum handbook (PDF). The handbook can be printed for $30.00. Each student will also receive a spiral bound 175-page Doula’s guide to labor positions ($75 value).Upon completion of this training, participants will possess the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support birthing individuals and their families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Ongoing mentorship and professional growth are encouraged to maintain high standards of care. Length of training: 12 weeks (may be extended due to Student vacations/availability). Summary of qualifications

Kimberly Oen is a Certified Doula through the State of Ohio Nursing Board and was the 3rd Doula to be certified when the program launched in October 2024 and currently the only Certified Doula in Auglaize County. She supports Shelby, Auglaize, Mercer, Allen and Champaign Counties. She trained under Birth with Spirit and Childbirth International as both a Doula and Lactation Counselor and has been offering doula services since 2020 but has been in the birth world since 2008. She is also a Placenta Encapsulation Specialist. Kimberly is President of Motherhood Reclaimed Ministries, a non-profit organization supporting women and babies. She is a Board-Certified Mental Health Coach through the American Association of Christian Counselors with a master’s in human services counseling. Other training in the birth world includes Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance, Postpartum Doula (Wise Woman Way of Birth – Gloria Lemay). She has been a Certified HypnoBirthing Childbirth Educator since 2021 and is also trained through Fit for Birth as a Pregnancy Exercise Specialist and Diastasis Recti and Core Consultant. In 2025 she completed her Doctorate as a Traditional Naturopathic Doctor and Integrative and Functional Medicine Practitioner. A professional student and lover of knowledge, she is currently training as a Fertility Health Coach.

Her faith and wellness journey began the moment God gifted her with a son with Cystic Fibrosis. At his birth, it was considered a fatal illness with a life expectancy of 18 years old. Today at 29 he is alive and thriving with a 47% lung function. She owes all that she is and all that she has to God. She is committed to supporting mothers throughout their journey to motherhood and beyond.
