Training offered
I offer doula-centered education designed to expand both skill set and sustainability in birthwork. My primary training offerings include: Declutter Doula™ Training A specialty training that equips doulas with practical decluttering and home-support skills rooted in emotional intelligence, nonjudgment, and family-centered care. This training prepares doulas to support clients through next level professional organizing. The focus is on holding space, reducing overwhelm, and creating environments that support well-being. Becoming a Declutter Doula™ offers another pathway to support families without the stress of the on-call life. New Doula Mentorship Individual and small-group mentorship for new or early-career doulas navigating the transition from training into real-world practice. Mentorship support includes confidence-building, scope-of-practice clarity, client communication, sustainability, and values-aligned business foundations. This offering is especially supportive for doulas who want to build a practice that is financially viable without burnout. Trainings are offered live and virtually, with a strong emphasis on practical application, reflection, and integration into existing doula work.
Summary of qualifications
I am a practicing doula and educator with over seven years of experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and major life transitions. I am the founder of Milestone Doulas, where my work has centered on emotionally intelligent, unbiased, and relationship-based care. I bring thoughtful hands-on care working with families in moments of vulnerability, overwhelm, and change—where emotional safety, autonomy, and trust are essential. In addition to direct client care, I have developed and facilitated educational offerings for parents and professionals, including mentorship, workshops, and resource development. I am the creator of the Declutter Doula™ framework, which formalizes decluttering as a supportive, doula-style service rather than a prescriptive or judgment-based intervention. My approach is informed by lived experience, continuing education in perinatal care, and a deep respect for the complexity of families, homes, and human transitions.
Style of teaching
My teaching philosophy is grounded in the same principles that guide my doula work: nonjudgment, curiosity, emotional safety, and trust in people’s innate capacity to make informed decisions for themselves. I believe skills are best learned when people feel supported rather than evaluated. My teaching style is relational, reflective, and practical—I focus on helping doulas understand not just what to do, but why it matters and how to apply it in real-life, imperfect situations. The idea for Declutter Doula work emerged organically from years of witnessing how deeply a person’s environment impacts their nervous system, confidence, and sense of agency—especially during pregnancy, postpartum, and other life transitions. I saw that clutter was rarely about “stuff,” and almost always about time, capacity, grief, identity shifts, or overwhelm. Traditional organizing models didn’t account for that complexity—doula care does. In training, I emphasize adaptability over rigidity, presence over productivity, and sustainable practices over hustle. My goal is to help doulas expand their offerings while staying aligned with their values, protecting their energy, and building work that truly supports both their clients and themselves.
