Summary of qualifications

I bring 16 years of hands-on experience in the birth and postpartum field as a Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Birth Doula, and founder of Massagemomma. Throughout my career, I have supported hundreds of women and families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery while building and sustaining my own private practice. My experience gives me a dual perspective: I understand both the heart of birth work and the realities of entrepreneurship. I know firsthand what it takes to serve families well while navigating pricing, marketing, client relationships, boundaries, business growth, and burnout. To expand my ability to support other birth workers, I became a Certified Hello Seven Business Coach, receiving specialized training in business, money, and mindset coaching. This allows me to guide doulas as they clarify their vision, strengthen their offers, build confidence in their pricing and marketing, and create a sustainable path forward. What sets me apart is that I am not teaching business from theory alone. I have spent 16 years doing the work, serving families, building professional relationships, evolving my offers, and learning how to remain sustainable in a demanding field. I understand the challenges many doulas face after certification—including undercharging, imposter syndrome, uncertainty about marketing, and not knowing how to turn their training into a functioning business. My mission is to help trained doulas combine their passion for birth work with the clarity, strategy, systems, and mindset needed to build profitable, sustainable, and deeply fulfilling businesses.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that certification is just the beginning, not the destination. Too often, doulas complete their training inspired and prepared to support families—but uncertain about how to build the business behind their work. I am committed to helping close that gap. My teaching style is hands-on, practical, and rooted in real talk. I blend clear business strategy with compassion, encouragement, and accountability. My approach is warm and momma-like, while remaining firm about boundaries, pricing, and making decisions that support sustainable growth. I create a supportive, judgment-free space where doulas can be honest about their fears, challenges, and goals. They leave our work together with greater clarity, practical action steps, and the confidence to move forward. My philosophy is also shaped by my own journey. I became a mother at 18, a wife at 23, and a business owner while raising three children. Building Massagemomma over the past 16 years taught me that lasting success is not built through constant hustle or luck. It is built through clarity, courage, consistency, and a willingness to evolve. As both a birth worker and business coach, I bring together the heart of birth work and the strategy of entrepreneurship. The birth room taught me advocacy, intuition, and how to remain grounded under pressure. Business taught me the importance of systems, pricing, boundaries, marketing, and mindset. My goal is not simply to give doulas more information. It is to help them apply what they learn, trust the value of their work, and make confident decisions for their businesses. At the core, my philosophy is simple: You are not “just” a doula. You are the CEO of your doula business.
