- Through BirthPro Doula Mastery & Mentoring, I provide advanced training and ongoing support for doulas who want to move beyond the basics and thrive in practice. ?? Doula Mentoring for Trained Doulas This guided 8-week program supports doulas who have completed their initial training but want more confidence and skill in real-world practice. Each week blends advanced learning with live coaching calls, peer discussion, and accountability. Topics include comfort measures, high-risk birth support, trauma-informed care, reproductive justice, cultural safety, business foundations, and postpartum support for birth clients. Doulas graduate with practical tools, deeper confidence, and a professional badge that signals their commitment to continued growth. ?? Specialized Trainings & Mini-Modules In addition to mentoring, I offer focused trainings designed to meet emerging needs in our field. Current and upcoming modules include: EFT for Infertility and Postpartum — using Emotional Freedom Techniques to support clients navigating fertility struggles and postpartum stress. Black Brilliance — a culturally responsive, anti-racism training for doulas committed to equity in birth work. Healthy Boundaries & Loss — supporting families through grief while maintaining emotional resilience as a doula. VBAC Support — evidence-based guidance for working with clients planning vaginal birth after cesarean. Respectful Care for Plus-Size Birth — strategies for reducing bias, advocating for clients, and promoting inclusive, weight-neutral care. Each specialty training is designed to be practical, inclusive, and immediately applicable. Doulas leave not only with new knowledge, but also with tools and language they can use right away with the families they serve. At the heart of all my offerings is a simple goal: to give doulas the confidence, skills, and community they need to sustain this work for the long term.

- Style of teaching
- My teaching style blends evidence-based practice with heart-centered mentoring. I believe doulas don’t just need information — they need support, community, and the confidence to bring their whole selves into this work. I approach training with three core values: Inclusivity — I intentionally center LGBTQ+ families, BIPOC perspectives, and culturally responsive care. Trauma-Informed Practice — I help doulas recognize trauma, hold space safely, and protect their own well-being while supporting others. Sustainability — I teach doulas how to set boundaries, build resilient practices, and create businesses that last. I create interactive, reflective learning environments where participants feel seen and valued. My goal is for every doula to walk away not only with new tools, but also with a sense of belonging and a clear vision for their work. Having just transitioned from liveaboard life on a small sailboat with my wife and our two very large dogs, I’ve returned to Rhode Island with renewed energy for building community. I bring that same spirit of adaptability, resilience, and joy into my teaching. At its core, my philosophy is simple: when doulas are supported, families and communities thrive.
