I took Dalia's birth doula training with BirthWell Partners and I learned so much!  Dalia's knowledge as a doula is amazing, and her empathy and activism are inspiring and will have a lasting impact on everyone who takes one of her trainings and the clients they will serve. I learned many tools for supporting all types of labor and birth, local resources to network with and refer clients to, and the important role that doulas can play in addressing the traumas and injustices that birthing people experience every day.  As a public health professor, I was already well acquainted with the disparities in birth outcomes, but Dalia's personal commitment to increasing the diversity of practicing doulas, finding sustainable ways to make doulas accessible to all who need and want them, and explaining local, national, and global data are making a demonstrable impact on these issues, one training and one birth at a time.
