Safely incorporate the use of Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) into your doula practice. After this 2.5 ICEA-approved contact hour course, participants will be able to: 1. Describe the theories explaining the physiological and physical mechanisms of pain coping with TENS 2. Discuss research findings on pain coping, safety and satisfaction with TENS during labor 3. Demonstrate the proper application and use of TENS 4. Discuss precautions and reasons for the precautions with the use of TENS
