Hands-On Body Mechanics for Longevity

This class focuses on body mechanics and techniques to help birth doulas work smart and not hard while using hands-on techniques with clients. We'll walk you through some of the most common techniques and positions and show you how to use body weight, rather than force, to create more comfort, effectiveness, and/or duration for hands-on techniques. We'll also cover how to coach partners to also use better body mechanics to reduce fatigue and injury at their birth. Opportunities for coaching on individual concerns can also be accommodated during this class.
