Northwest Association for Perinatal Support
Birth and Postpartum Doula Mariana Graciano will be teaching how to help your clients and their support person recognize the signs of early labor, how doulas can provide guidance while clients are coping at home, and when to transition to the hospital or birth center. Mariana will share ways to help your clients stay comfortable, helping oxytocin flow before you meet them at the birth. She will incorporate all kinds of tools used for coping including birth balls, massage or tennis balls, TENS units, plastic combs, and how to teach partners and support people how to use them. This training is ideal for newer birth doulas or those who want to refresh their knowledge of early labor and coping strategies and best practices when providing guidance to clients.
