A foundational professional lactation training course for aspiring Black IBCLCs and folks who support Black families. This course provides students with lactation-specific educational hours that qualify for the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) 95-hour requirements. This training provides the student with a basic knowledge in: Anatomy, biochemistry of lactation, communication & counseling, clinical documentation, equipment use in lactation, ethical & legal considerations of lactation, introduction of complimentary foods, latch & position, pathology of lactation, pharmacology & toxicology, physiology, public health & advocacy, weaning, and more!
