What a wonderful, caring, important person to be included in my birth. I found Steph from looking for a hypnobirthing class(which I also HIGHLY recommend). Within the first class, I knew I also wanted her to be my doula! Luckily, she had space for me around my guess date. Leading up to my birth, Steph was always there for questions and concerns, to support on an emotional level, and took away some worries with my first pregnancy. When I began to feel like baby was really on the way, Steph came to my home as soon as I needed her there. I do feel like she was a key factor in my birth going as smoothly as it did. I progressed fairly quickly, and she was very helpful in letting me know it was very much time to go to the hospital. One key trait I love about Steph is how calm she is. She made sure to not show any worries or nervousness around me, even if there was. She made sure to tell my husband what was going on, and helped him with tips to help me feel more at ease and safe. I would have Steph as a doula a thousand times over. Even my dog, who is normally very iffy around strangers, let her pet him during our first visit. That’s the kind of energy you want in the birthing space. Forever grateful for Steph.
