Our experience with Christa as our doula was nothing short of incredible. Right from the first contact I made with her, she was warm, helpful, informative, and kind.

Leading up to delivery, we met with her a few times, allowing me to ask any questions I had for her, and to go into the experience feeling informed and empowered. She helped me to feel that I was totally capable of the delivery I wanted to experience, and made sure I knew what to expect from her throughout. It made a huge difference going into labour with someone I knew and trusted on my team, and knowing she has so much experience behind her.

During labour and delivery, Christa was a great asset to our birth team. She arrived quickly after we called, coached me through each stage, suggested positions for me to try to help my labour progress smoothly and more comfortably, and coached my husband in how to support me throughout.

Christa also took photos for us along the way, and they are something that I will cherish forever.

Following the delivery, I ended up needing surgery, which took me away from baby very quickly after birth. Christa was then able to act as a support person for my mom and my husband, and to help with baby's first feeding. For me, knowing that my loved ones and new baby were supported and cared for eased my mind and served as a huge comfort to me. I don’t think I would have been nearly as at ease with the situation without having Christa there in that moment.

Once we were home, she made sure to check in with me frequently, and was a great source of information and support for me to have as a new mom.

I can’t imagine having gone through the whole experience without Christa, she will definitely be the first call for our birth team when we do it again!
