We were looking for a doula to assist with a birth of our first child, we interviewed an array of doulas and Tatiana’s approach really spoke to us. Our goal was to have a healthy baby and to avoid a C section if at all possible. We appreciated that Tatiana understood our goal very well and laid out a plan of action on how to decrease the possibility of a c section. She consulted us throughout the pregnancy over text and in person. She provides an educated and experienced perspective on various calls one has to make during pregnancy - is it a good idea to do an induction? When? Why and why not? When to get an epidural and can it boost the chances of a c section? All of this and more are the things she was able to help us navigate.
When the day has arrived, she got to the hospital right after we arrived and she immediately started to consult and help me with contractions pain. I would not be able to last as long without her for sure. Then it turned out that the baby was in a slightly incorrect position so Tatiana started bending me back and forth to place the babe in the right position. She succeeded and I was able to push out our little girl in under 25 mins after Tatiana completed her exercises with me. All in all, the labor took 18 hours and she was working with me tirelessly the whole time. She helped me to avoid a c section many times and my husband and I are truly grateful we found Tatiana and she was able to be with us during this special day.
Would I recommend Tatiana as a doula? 10000% yes. I already recommended her to my friends and I definitely hope that she will be kind enough to do this again with our next child! ??
