I'm a first time mom. Having Michele attend our birth was a beautiful thing. I felt empowered to ask for the setting I wanted. We felt confident and prepared by the knowledge sessions with Michele prior to giving birth. She also empowered my partner to be involved. She was constantly working hard to support me with hands on comfort measures and even holding my legs during pushing. She was also calm and nurturing. I felt so cared for during my birth, I am moved to tears just thinking about how she brushed hair out of my face and made me feel like a dignified human in the throes of labor. The smallest things matter during this time. We ended up having the unmedicated vaginal birth that we wanted. In the days following, close to Thanksgiving. We were tired and didn't know how much help we needed at the time, but Michele made herself available and encouraged us to take the visit.
