I’m so grateful that Cherish was part of our daughter’s birth. I’ll outline my very positive experience below, but the headline is that Cherish is incredible at what she does, and any expecting parents would be lucky to work with her. From our first meeting, I felt so supported and listened to. Cherish’s support at my ECV played a huge role in its success; I’m not sure I could’ve tolerated the procedure without her help. When it was time to labor, she was instrumental in making the birth an empowering, positive experience. She helped create a calm and joyful vibe, and then when labor got serious, her tools (both physical, like a tens unit or comb, and mental, like breathing cues and visualization) helped me stay present and grounded. Cherish also helped me communicate with my medical team during some crucial moments, like affirming what I was feeling when I was ready to push, and this helped us mobilize for the next stage of labor. She also was an amazing partner with my husband in finding out what I needed in a given moment. Her preparation and instincts really speak to her experience with helping parents bring babies into the world, and we are so, so happy she was with us when we met our daughter. We will also treasure the photos she took during labor and birth—I’m so glad we have those moments documented in such a beautiful way.
