As first-time parents, my husband and I both found all of the information surrounding pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare, to be overwhelming. With the way the internet these days. it seems impossible to find accurate or evidence-based answers. In all of this, I'm so glad we hired Stephanie to not only act as our doula but also as an instructor for her infant care and birthing class. Stephanie is knowledgeable, compassionate, and very much an advocate for the type of birth experience you want. Throughout my entire pregnancy, she was always available to discuss complications, plans, and any questions that came up (and trust me, there were a lot). In all of this, she helped us feel prepared for birth and at ease in taking care of a newborn. Stephanie is also honest and straightforward, she guided us through exercises to help us make the birth plan we wanted with the knowledge that sometimes things are out of our control, and after our birth, she even helped us with nursing and post-partum care. Even though we had medical complications during the birth, I felt so much better knowing she was there for us in the craziness and fog of it all. We're forever grateful for her presence in our lives and that of our beautiful baby.
