Hiring Leanne was one of the best decisions I made for my birth. After a 3 day long intense labour I was able to avoid transfer and birth our beautiful baby girl at home, unmedicated in my birth pool. I don’t believe this would have been our outcome if it wasn’t for the help of our outstanding doula. Leanne supported my husband and I over the phone for the first 24hrs and then joined us in person for an additional 30+ hours. She supported me with birth positions to help move baby into a better position, she made sure I was staying as hydrated as possible, she was right there for pretty much every contraction with a variety of tools and touch to add comfort and encouragement. Leanne goes the extra mile! I can’t tell you the amount of times she would put chapstick on my lips or bring me a cold cloth for my head. By the end, Leanne was even holding my head up because I hadn’t slept in three days and my body was completely exhausted. Leanne reminded me of my capabilities and my desires for an all natural home birth when I couldn’t see a light at the end of the tunnel and she prayed with me when I felt like I just couldn’t go on any further. Leanne stayed with me every stop of the way and even stuck around after my birth to help cleanup and start some laundry. This is after she’s barley slept and has been away from her own family for several hours. Leanne is truly a gift from God and is living in her purpose. Everyone needs a Leanne in her life and I am so grateful she has come into mine.
