Knowing I wanted an unmedicated birth and as first time parents we knew we needed a doula. My husband and I immediately felt comfortable with Tonya. She's extremely knowledgeable about the birthing process and has much experience as a doula as well as being a mother of four herself. We met with Tonya and discussed our birth preferences before our delivery date. As our due date approached we kept in contact with Tonya after every monitoring appointment. I was induced three days after my due date and labor happened quickly after my water broke. We kept in contact with Tonya all through the night and she arrived as soon as we needed her. Tonya arrived during the hardest and most intense part of my labor. I ended up requesting an epidural and was able to get some rest before pushing. It was so comforting to have Tonya there to assist me and support both myself and my husband. She kept notes on my birth events from when I was induced to when my daughter was born and took some wonderful photos of the first few moments with our family of three which are so special to us. We had a postpartum follow up visit and she's kept in contact via text after which is really sweet and special. We would absolutely recommend Tonya if you are looking to have a doula at your birth.
