Working with Daisy was the single best decision I made regarding my birth. Energetically, she was an absolute balm: calming, nurturing, and grounded, with a powerful holistic understanding of the medical system in which we were working as well as the spiritual and practical needs of a first-time Mom. Pre-birth we reached out many times with a wide range of questions and she was always responsive, leading with the heart but encyclopedic in her knowledge (and happy to acknowledge when something was out of her wheelhouse.) At home in early labor, I was so happy when Daisy arrived. She was fully present in the joy, fear, and apprehension with us, supporting both me and my husband. She made being present for an incredibly intimate experience feel totally natural. There were so many small decisions that had to be made that could have pulled us away from being present in the experience, but with Daisy we didn't have to think twice about anything. In the hospital, though, was when my gratitude for Daisy reached new heights. She made several suggestions that altered the course of my somewhat complicated birth for the better, and was there to translate medical jargon as well as to provide context for perspectives offered by nurses and doctors throughout. I can think of several times I likely would have totally spiraled or been frantically texting friends or even googling if she hadn't been there. Instead, I was able to listen to my body and trust in Daisy. Aside from her expertise, deep commitment, and magical touch, I also have to add that Daisy is one of the most phenomenal people I've come in contact with for awhile. I feel extremely lucky to have met her, let alone for her to have been part of one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Without exaggeration, I cannot recommend her highly enough.
