We found Ildi and Sam on DoulaMatch - as I was saying to my husband and all my friends a million times when telling them about my birthing, I cannot have done this without Ildi and Sam (Could probably have done it without my husband lol but definitely not without Ildi and Sam)
They are truly incredible. From the moment prenatal appointment started their magic began. They were not only knowledable but also respectful of every decision you intended to make. We went through the birth plan, and they shared helpful materials on tools/exercises, which one of them helped my daughter turning from sunnyside-up to the optimal fetal position on the day of my labour. They were there 24/7 for the questions. I had an almost panic attack towards the end when I found out I couldn't use Epidural due to health issue, and they were there to get me through it and manage the pain.
They are not only incredible as birth doula but also postpartum too - and I highly recommend that too! My daughter came home with jaundice and wouldn't wake up for breastfeeding. Ildi helped us through, teaching us ways to wake her up, positions to feed her. By the time our pediatrician is creating lots of anxiety for us, keeping saying my daughter's not gaining weight properly but not offering any good suggestions. Ildi is the one who comforted us and made me feel better, to even avoid postpartum depression in a way if I may! She was there teaching us how to bath, do her nails, burping, and everything. I literally wouldn't know what to do without her.
I'll for sure want them again for my next baby and I highly recommend Ildi and Sam - as my husband called it BEST investment during our journey.
