As soon as my husband and I found out we were expecting twins, we knew we'd need help. As first time parents especially, having Rae-Anne here was truly lifesaving. Our twins arrived earlier than expected, were in the NICU for two weeks but Rae-Anne managed to be here the day after we brought them home. We're so grateful we had her overnight help three times a week for nearly three months!
I can't tell you what a relief it was to have someone so calm and capable taking care of our little preemies. We could go to bed, for some MUCH needed sleep, knowing the babies were being well cared for. She'd always offer to help in any way, arrive and leave with an upbeat positivite outlook that I truly admired, given how sleepless some of her nights were here! She'd wash bottles and deal with the mundane baby tasks, knowing we had little time to do them. She was flexible with extra coverage as needed or staying late if we really just needed some extra sleep. She'd check in on us and see how we're doing and adjusting to new parent life. Rae-Anne just instantly felt like a friend, someone you could talk to about anything with zero judgement.
I can't tell you how many times I said "thank God Rae Anne is here tonight". She knew so much about postpartum and newborns and could really help answer questions we had or guide us in the right direction. She got us through, hands down, the hardest 3 months of our lives and we will forever be grateful for everything she has done. Without her, I truly can't imagine how we would have made it to this point with any shred of sanity!
