Testimonial for Eleanor Trenary
We hired Eleanor four days before I went into active labor. She showed up on time to the birth center were we would be for over 24 hours. While at the birth center she was thoughful by ensuring both me and my husband were hydrated. In addition she helped massage my back, help with support me during different positions. Most importantly she made sure we ate and had food to make it through as we did not pack enough. She also followed up with the midwives on any questions that we may not have thought of due to us being too tired. Without Eleanor being there I don't think we would have had such a postive experience at the birth center.
We eventually had to transition to the hospital and Eleanor was right beside us as we did this. En route to the hospital Eleanor picked up some food for us to ensure we would have something to eat. Upon arrival to the hospital she was the first to share our birthing plan with the nurses to ensure they knew what we wanted. She remained encouraging and uplifting through the process. She helped to capture precious moments of the birth as well by taking pictures and videos to record the event.
All in all hiring Eleanor was the right choice. She brought a sense of calm and tranquility to a long and painful birthing process. She ensured that both my husband and I took care of ourselves as well by eating, taking mental breaks, etc. If we had to do it again we'd chose Eleanor as our doula again and again.
