Kimberly was hands down the best doula! I actually had another birth doula but unfortunately my birth doula got sick and we thought we wouldn't have a doula after all at the birth of our first child. However, my doula asked Kim to be the back-up doula and Kim came to our rescue. She helped me give birth to a healthy baby boy on Christmas Day 12/25/24! She was very attentive, positive, and arrived in a timely manner to the hospital even though she was 45 minutes away from the hospital. She was also very responsive through text and calls even though I was laboring in the middle of the night on Christmas Eve. Even though it was our first time meeting at the birth of my child, we got along right away. She was very personable and always made me feel empowered. She always supported whatever decision I made and helped me make an informed decision. Kim was so knowledgeable and knew exactly what I should do to help me cope with my labor unmedicated! Not once did I ask for an epidural because she was there by my side helping with counterpressure, aromatherapy, being intimate with my partner, breathing and relaxation techniques, etc. She always knew what my partner and I should be doing to help with the labor and delivery and everything went so smoothly thanks to her! Not only did she strongly advocate for my birth plan, but she went above and beyond to go out of her way beyond my birth plan to give my mother updates which calmed her in the waiting room. I would say my birth experience was transformative, empowering, and peaceful. I am so grateful to her and definitely will be asking her to help me in my second birth too!
