After the priceless experience we had with Ildi and Sam for my first pregnancy/birth, my partner and I didn't think twice about hiring them back for the second. Ildi was with us for the big day again and provided amazing support during a wild and quick labor. She safely drove us to the hospital while instructing me for nearly 30 minutes how to breathe so as not to birth a baby in her car! I felt soothed and safe with her the entire way. At the hospital I delivered within 15 minutes of getting to a room, and Ildi was by my side with words of comfort and encouragement during what was the hardest 15 minutes of my life. She worked well with the hospital team as well. Postpartum visits were great for reflection, sibling tips, and helping with my list of chores and meal prep! (She made us a great soup.) While I feel like I totally underutilized their open communication by phone/email, they truly make themselves available whenever you need for anything you need. Questions, concerns, whatever-they're happy to be involved. When there's ever an opportunity to recommend the budding belly team (or hire again myself) I would not hesitate!
