Jade was God sent. She is an amazing doula and person. My plan was to birth unmedicated at the birth center. Everything changed when my blood pressure was too high. I was sent to the hospital where Jade met me, shortly after being checked in and given a room. From the moment she arrived until the moment she left she was my biggest support in my most vulnerable time of my life. This was second nature to her. She was so hands on through the entire process helping me with positions to help get baby into the right position. She would talk me through contractions and doubtful moments. She would massage me w/ essential oils she brought, she even braided my hair. She brought lights and music to create an ambiance in the room. The amazing thing is that I had a lot of my own support there, my mom, sis, aunt, husband and dad. Jade could've very well done the minimal requirement of her job due to all of the support I already had, but them being there did not stop her from going all out and being the biggest support of all. I was supposed to have another doula there that day, but she had a medical emergency and Jade stepped in as a favor to the birth center and I am so beyond grateful that she did. My entire birth plan changed, which was hard for me to accept and Jade talked me through it all and gave me so much comfort, peace of mind and confidence. My labor was 36 hours and still I was only 5 centimeters. Jade stayed w/ me the entire time. I ended up going ahead w/ a c-section and even though it was Jade's wedding anniversary and she had dinner and a show reserved, she still wanted to stay and be by my side during the surgery. The hospital didn't approve her to be present during the surgery and at that point I begged her to go home to her husband and four children. This woman is the real deal. I can't say enough how amazing she is and how much myself and my entire family fell in love w/ her. I'll never forget what she did for me and how she was there for me.
