Jessamyn was an absolutely invaluable member of my birthing team as my husband and I welcomed our first child into the world. She came highly recommended from my OBGYN at Cedars, and I was so thankful that she already had such a strong relationship with my medical care team (especially as someone that struggles with medical anxiety). Jessamyn quickly became a trusted part of our preparations for birth, and she truly felt like an extension of our family during the birth. She presented evidence-based information for us to consider when we had questions, which allowed us to feel like we were making informed decisions. She provided impeccable continuity of care for me during my hospital birth and liaised seamlessly with the many hosiptal staff that came and went during that time, constantly advocating for my personal needs that we discussed prior to the birth. At a personal level, Jessamyn has a beautiful heart for others and brought a very calming, loving, and maternal energy into my daughter's birth. She also brings a comforting confidence to the birthing process, which felt at times felt scary and overwhelming as a first time mom. She and my husband formed a solid support team for me as I embarked on the journey of birth, and I felt like she was truly in my corner from start to finish. As an added benefit, she is also has an incredible and intuitive sense of touch and was able to provide immense relief during my pregnancy though prenatal massage and during the birth through counter pressure and other tactile interventions. I couldn't recommend Jessamyn more highly!
