I can’t recommend Elizabeth enough. My pregnancy was normal until about 36 weeks. Baby measured big & after watching my blood sugar that week i was diagnosed with GD at 37wks. Then hypertension at 38wks. I was worried & upset because i knew i may not have the birth i wanted. Elizabeth offered so much support & helped me navigate decisions that came along with it. My water broke @ 38+4 at 4:15 AM. My BP was high so we went to the hospital. I texted Elizabeth that morning & once we had been admitted she was there soon after that. I was doing everything to help labor progress but i just would not dilate. That evening we decided to start Pitocin as i was STILL at a 1. Elizabeth was a great advocate & helped ease my mind since my birth plan was already changing. We started pitocin 3 times and did 2 rounds of cytotec. She stayed with us until around 2 AM until she had to go home & rest. I appreciated that so much because i was exhausted mentally and physically. She came right back early the next morning. I decided to get the epidural & started pit again that morning. Lots of her help with position changes & movements. She made sure nurses knew what i wanted & just read the room whenever anyone came in to do/say anything. She is the BEST advocate. She stayed until the next morning when baby girl FINALLY made her arrival at 2:36 AM. It was really pushing past a time limit she could stay but she stayed to be there with us til the very end. Through postpartum she has checked in on me many times offering any advice she can. She really has been amazing. I cannot say enough good things about her. My family loved her too! I consider her a friend now??
