We chose Danae based on her vibe - we felt comfortable with her from our first conversation with her, and that definitely held true throughout our entire time working with her! She helped us feel prepared for whatever the birth of our child may bring, which ended up being helpful when we we changed our birth preferences to align with some late pregnancy complications and then later were faced with a precipitous labor and a rapid delivery. That made us especially grateful that she had coached both the birthing partner and non-birthing partner to cope and support, respectively. We also considered it a small bonus that she would take photos, but we didn't realize how meaningful those would be to us until after the birth. It was so special to have photos of our new family shortly after we returned home from the birth center. She did a beautiful job, capturing the emotions of birth and meeting our baby, and she did so so very tastefully – nothing was showing that we didn't want to be seen. Overall, we would recommend Danae to anyone and are sad to be moving away because we would want to use Danae for future births!
