We have been so lucky to have Scarlett support us for the births of both our kids, and throughout the pregnancies. It's difficult to put into words just how much Scarlett's support has meant to us - she's so knowledgeable about all things related to birth and on the rare occasion she doesn't already know, she'll go looking for solid, evidence-based information. But what really sets Scarlett apart for me is how she has expanded my ideas of what birth can be, how committed she was to helping me get as close to the birthing experience I wanted as possible (while setting realistic expectations), and, very importantly, her sense of humor!
Choosing a doula is such a personal decision, but I cannot say enough good things about Scarlett. She's just incredible and I'm so glad she was there when our babies arrived earthside. She said during the labor of my second that she wanted me to keep laughing throughout, and I think it was pretty close! Scarlett kept us laughing, she kept me reassured, and she brought so much warmth, humor, and loveliness to these tender moments of our lives.
I had two birthing experiences that were similar in some ways and very different in others, but I'm incredibly grateful that Scarlett's calm and wonderful presence was there for both. Doulas are amazing! Scarlett is amazing! Thank you Scarlett for everything!
