Chelsea was a wonderful doula - exactly who I was looking for! This is my first pregnancy and I knew I wanted a doula because I wanted additional support in the labor room. Even though I knew I was going for a medicated birth and aboslutely trusted my OB/nurses, it was wonderful to have someone guide me and my husband through the short hours of labor. She was very supportive of what I wanted, and not only knew exaclty the right counter pressures/methods to help ease the pain in labor, but she also help contribute to a calm/fun environment in the labor room - and got along with my medical team! She also really observed my needs and knew when/how to help me without me saying much.
Also, I really appreciated how Chelsea dedicated time to me and hubsand to our meeting to get to know us and explain our options/process. There was never a "limit" on time for our meetings/questions/text, which some other doulas do. She also made sure I knew she was always available to me both pre and post pregnancy. She even dropped off a cute gift bag during my postpartum recovery period! Would highly recommend her if you want a support like i did!
