I hired Michaela for postpartum support after both my babies were born.
After my first child was born she really taught us all things baby and let me try out products that she had on hand. She taught us how to pace feed our baby with a bottle, helped with bathing, sorted baby clothes, trimmed nails, demonstrated baby wearing, connected us with resources outside of her scope, and much more. She provided much needed and support for me and my husband as new parents. She was always very accessible by text or phone in the time between her visits.
The second time around it didn't take her long at all to jump back in. She remembered where things were located in my house and she geared her efforts toward supporting me with nourishing food, giving me breaks to take a shower or a nap, light housework, and being a listening ear for me to process my birth.
Overall, I would highly recommend Michaela to any family looking for a postpartum doula in our area whether it is your first baby or fourth! She is truly so great to work with!
