I found Lauretta on doulamatch when I decided to hire a doula last minute at 36 weeks pregnant. She is very responsive, which I highly appreciate! The first impression is always important to me and I could tell immediately that Lauretta was going to be a good match for me with my husband and the additional support I needed. She is sweet, attentive, easy to talk to and truly kind. She's knowledgeable and passionate about childbirth and helping others to have a good experience. During my (long) labor at home and in the hospital, she was well prepared and extremely thoughtful for my needs and brought everything we discussed to make my labor more comfortable. She was on top of it with my water and keeping it nearby, as well as bringing it to me everytime I needed a sip. We used the birthing ball, peanut, tub and rebozo techniques throughout my labor. She even brushed my hair and continuously applied lip moisturizer on me in between contractions! Additionally, the nurses complimented on how amazing she was and her knowledge of frequent repositioning for the baby and me. Lastly, she came over for the postpartum visit and brought homemade bread for my family. I cannot thank Lauretta enough and wish I had her for my first baby. I will definitely recommend her to my friends and family and continue to be grateful for everything she's done!
