We are so thankful to have had Dinora as our doula. We weren't sure we needed a doula because I was planning on getting an epidural but I'm so glad we did. I ended up getting induced and Dinora was great at helping me manage the contractions in early labor before I got the epidural. She clearly has a lot of experience and knew exactly what to expect at each stage of the process. She helped with changing positions which allowed my water to break naturally. Unfortunately my labor stalled during the pushing phase, but she was able to counsel my husband about what was happening as we headed into an unplanned c section. She was able to stay with me while my husband did skin to skin with the baby and she was essential for supporting breastfeeding immediately after the c section. We are very grateful for her excellent support through a long and difficult process. It made a huge difference for both of us.
