Caryn was key to making my birth center birth a success! From our first meeting 12 weeks into my pregnancy, I knew she was the right fit. She has a very warm, calm, and positive presence. Not only is she an experienced doula, she felt like a friend instantly, and I knew I could trust her. She was available on call the last month of my pregnancy and was able to come to my house when I went into labor to support me. She kept me from feeling anxious and provided counterpressure during my back labor, essential oils to soothe my nerves and nausea, and emotional support for my husband during my 14-hour-long labor. I believe I would have given in and decided to go to a hospital to get an epidural if it had not been for the anchor of Caryn by my side.

Having her come to our home the first four weeks after birth was just as crucial as the birth itself. She provided my family support with breastfeeding, bottle feeding, belly binding, and sleep support. Having a baby can cause a lot of anxiety for new parents, but her expert advice and kind personality were like a warm hug to my newly postpartum body. Her actual hugs are great too!
