Testimonial for Kristina Nielsen | Birth Doula & Photography Available
Once I found out we were expecting I knew immediately that I wanted a doula. With this being our first pregnancy and being far from our familes, I was excited to have a source of knowledge and female energy by my side while going through pregnancy and birth. After connecting with a few women, I had a conslutation with Kristina and knew immediately she was who I wanted to work with. She was warm, calm, and provided my partner and I a wealth of imformation throughout our pregnancy while being available any time we had questions. A few weeks prior to labor Kristina came to our house and prepped us for labor and delivery. She spent a siginifcant amount of time going through our birth plan, explaining to us our birthing options, and helping us prepare for what was to come.
Once we were admitted to the birth center, Kristina joined us and I can truly say I don't know what we would have done without her. While the nursing staff was great, it was incredibly helpful to have her by our side explaining all the medical terms and telling us what our options were. She guided me through labor with patience and ease, and made sure we had absolutley everything we needed to feel comfortable and confident throughout labor. The time passed quickly as we worked through contractions and ways to ramp up the laboring process. During the slower moments we had fun and shared some laughs as well.
After our son was born, Kristina checked in several times to make sure we were doing well and had everything we needed. She made another house visit to check-in as well. Welcoming our son into this world was a great experinece and I can't imagine going through it without Kristina. Thank you!
