When she told me she was a doula, nothing sounded more fitting for the caring and thoughtful human that she is. I knew I had to have her with me during labor. In the months leading up to birth I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and my pregnancy anxiety was at an all time high. I would text Chrystal all my thoughts and worries. She always sent me articles to support any concerns I had.
Come day of labor, having Chrystal by my side is a memory I’ll cherish forever. She made me laugh when I was pushing and her overall presence gave me a sense of calm I needed in the delivery room.
