As first-time parents, my husband and I knew we wanted to hire a doula, but we never knew really how important or helpful they could be until we met Felisha. She is amazing! We had lots of questions that she helped us think through thoroughly and with patience. Felisha was extremely supportive of our decisions, but also helped explain our all our options. What we really appreciated was her time and dedication to making sure our needs were met & we felt confident going into our birth. While we knew we had her on our side to help be an advocate during birth – Felisha guided us so that we felt comfortable being our own advocates too.
I had quite the abnormal labor experience with a quick birth start to finish – but when my water broke at 1am and my labor started – Felisha was just a phone call away and was able to help talk through the beginning stages on call with me – but also provided my husband with guidance to time my contractions and advise when to head to the hospital. She was so encouraging throughout the entire labor experience and while my daughter came quickly (!), we would not have been able to navigate the whole experience without her support. In such a vulnerable time, Felisha was always so warm and kind. We would recommend Felisha wholeheartedly to all future families – and we are looking forward to having her on board with us when we expand our own family!
