I feel that my nerves were calm and I was successful in my goal because of the information and coping mechanisms I learned with Shannon. Having Shannon with me during labor and delivery felt like having all the additional support you could need during childbirth. She was able to explain things to my husband and sister so they were in the loop of all the information while I was focusing on myself. She guided my husband to massage me during contractions and was very motivating to both of us. It felt like someone was speaking and taking care of things I normally would microfocus on.
