We knew we wanted a doula as soon as we found out we were pregnant. We interviewed multiple doulas, and it was very clear that Natasha was the best. She had the most experience, the best reviews, and also the most gentle and caring spirit that really made us feel at ease.
As a husband, it meant a lot to me when Natasha proactively reached out to my wife to encourage her through the difficult parts of pregnancy, especially when we were worried about complications. (Trust me, even if you don't have any pregnancy complications, you will be worried that you might have one at some point during pregnancy). As a man, I often didn't know how to counsel my wife through these challenges, so it was great to have Natasha there to empathize with my wife, and to offer wonderful recommendations of things to try or specialists to see.
As wonderful as she was before birth, Natasha was even more wonderful during labor. From the moment she walked in the door, she was by my wife's side, coaching her through the whole process. She even helped flip the baby to a more advantageous position, which I fully believe made the rest of labor much easier on my wife. I as also really appreciative that Natasha went out of her way to make sure that I took care of myself during labor. As a man, it's easy to think "what my wife's going through right now is so much worse than whatever I'm feeling," and totally ignore your own needs. Natasha was there to remind me that I needed to take care of myself so that I could take care of my wife.
In short, Natasha's services were worth every penny, and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is pregnant.
