Working with De was so wonderful. I knew I wanted a doula present for my birth and I reached out to see if she had availability. After our first video call my husband and I knew she would be a great fit for us. She taught us without making anything feel overwhelming. We felt empowered in our choices with her help.
I went into labor a bit early and De was right there with us. She helped me on my decision to change my birth plan and get an epidural after I was struggling through labor. Every step of the way she was there for me to support me in my decisions and I could turn to her when I had questions or needed someone to advocate for me or speak to medical staff for me. She helped my husband be a great birth partner for me. Honestly, I can't imagine my birth without her. She truly was so important to both my husband and me for going through labor and having my baby. Not only did she help me with every contraction, she was there all night by my side. She also captured photos and videos that I cherish to this day.
And even after the birth, her check ins made us feel supported and helped us recover. I don't know what we would have done without her, as we didn't have family close by. I'm forever grateful for her!
I don't think I can truly put into words how great it was working with her and how thankful we are to have had her with us during my first labor. If we have a second child, we will definitely work with her again!
