When my husband and I decided to hire a doula, we approached it much like we did our wedding. We love planning and organizing things ourselves, but on the big day, we knew we needed someone to help make everything go smoothly. That’s exactly what Jade did for us during the birth of our daughter, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
Throughout my pregnancy, I spent a lot of time educating myself and didn’t feel like I needed much additional support. But during labor, Jade’s presence was invaluable. She kept in close contact from the start, came to our home during early labor, and gave us the confidence we needed to stick to my goal of laboring long at home. Her calming support was a huge relief for my husband, who could focus on being present rather than worrying about logistics.
Jade’s connections in the Montclair area were also incredibly helpful. She knew the hospital setting, had a good relationship with my midwife, and even communicated with her before we arrived. Having that level of familiarity was so reassuring.
During labor, Jade took the lead with coaching and encouragement in ways I expected the medical team to handle but found her stepping in seamlessly. She was always a step ahead, making sure I felt supported at every turn. She also brought props to th hospital that were very helpful during labor.
Her help didn’t end after birth, either. Jade was instrumental in supporting me with lactation, supporting my breastfeeding journey.
If you’re looking for someone who is warm, resourceful, and will truly have your back on one of the most important days of your life, I can’t recommend Jade enough. Hiring her was one of the best decisions we made!
