I am SO grateful for the three amazing ladies at the Birth Collective. From our very first interaction and throughout our relationship, I was consistently impressed with their warmth, knowledge, and kindness. They were so helpful and supportive when I was panicking about weird pregnancy symptoms or "is this labor" questions as my due date came and went. Bree attended my birth - my husband and I looked at each other after the birth and went "we would not have come out of that unscathed without Bree". She kept my spirits up during awful pitocin contractions and unexpected changes in my birth plan, and brought so much knowledge and humor to the situation. Her presence kept us calm and she explained everything I could anticipate from various interventions or situations we were in to help me make the best decision. It took my body a really long time to dilate to 10cm and she supported me through it. She got creative with a bunch of positioning (even with the epidural) to help get the baby into optimal position and help me relax. I think back on my birth and thank the heavens for Bree, she saved my birth experience and I am confident she is the reason I was able to have the vaginal delivery I wanted. I will not give birth again without one of these amazing women by my side!!
