When I found out I was expecting, I knew I wanted all the support I could get and immediately looked into hiring a doula. I searched around online and ended up having a few conversations with different doulas. It was a no brainer after chatting with Thalia I knew she was the right fit for me and had the energy and expertise I was looking for.
She supported me with my endless questions, concerns, and fears in the months before birth. Having her as a resource and a support in this new journey for me was invaluable and she really helped me tune into my own wisdom and what I felt was right for me and my family. I never once felt judged for my alternative views and concerns around certain interventions. She held such beautiful space and let me decided what I needed.
Thalia helped me feel so deeply prepared and supported as I planned my natural home birth. Because of our conversations and all that she shared with me, I actually looked forward to the process and really trusted in my body during the whole process.
I’m so grateful to say I was able to follow through with my plans and had a powerful and magical home birth of my dreams with Thalia a major part of my birth team. She was there with me through the hardest parts of labor AND the challenges that unfolded afterwards. She went above and beyond staying longer than planned, making sure I was fed, and even supplying me with some healing herbs and incredible support in the week after birth.
I don’t know what I would have done without Thalia on my birth team. She worked so beautifully along with my husband and really made the whole experience magical.
