I simply don't know what we would have done without Patti as our Doula, especially as a first time mom/parents. Patti was super responsive from the moment I reached out for an inquiry.
While nothing can prepare us for becoming parents and everything that comes with it, we did feel as prepared as possible for the process of giving birth thanks to the prep videos she sent us months in advance so that we'd have an idea of what to expect.
She is a skilled masseuse and both the labor prep and postpartum massages were so relaxing, yet functional as I felt how she helped position my baby most optimally (labor prep).
Patti was also very flexible with us as I was induced two weeks earlier from my due date. She was available to guide us through everything the day of induction.
She never left my side while I was in labor. She was constantly making sure I was well positioned and ensuring I was as comfortable as possible. She had a calming presence. My labor was as smooth as it could possible go and Patti was a major reason for that.
I've got to say that she was also a huge advocate for us as our nurse's attentiveness was less than desired and she helped/nudge as needed to get the attention we needed from our nurse.
All in all, I highly recommend Patti if you're considering a Doula. She has been doing this for many years and I jokingly, but accurately called her a baby whisperer. She is so knowledgeable and shares all of that with you which was so helpful and eye opening for us first time parents.
