We were so grateful to have Amanda as our doula! I had been on the search for a doula when I found out Amanda had recently got certified. I was so excited when she was willing to take us on! With this being my first pregnancy, there was a lot that I wasn't expecting. It was such a comfort to be able to reach out to her to ask questions and just talk about how everything was feeling emotionally too. She is such a genuine person and an excellent listener. When it was time for baby boy to arrive, she was right there the whole time. Supporting us over texts and songs until it was time to go to the hospital. It took a while for this to progress and it was very exhausting and defeating. I had barely any sleep and I was ready to be done, they came in and checked me and I wasn't any further than 4cm. I remember laying there just crying, so exhausted and I looked over and saw Amanda praying. It brought such a peace and comfort to me. It was such a crazy experience and I'm not sure if we would have lasted without having someone with us! Amanda was truly such a blessing! ??
