I can’t recommend Shannon’s services enough. I spent my pregnancy and labor anxiety-free because of the comfort of having her on our team. Because of Shannon, my husband and I were both able to relax and cherish the birth of our first daughter, which went smoothly and exactly how I prayed it might. Two hours after the birth, however, I experienced a rare third-degree hemorrhage and was rushed from our birthing center to a nearby hospital. Shannon stayed with my husband and daughter into the night at the hospital and guided him through the first few hours of parenting while I was unavailable. She advocated for us during our time in the ICU and was available for all of my breastfeeding questions in the first few weeks (monthly, really) of nursing. Shannon was a great friend, advocate, educator, and comforter in both the calm and the storm of our first birth experience and because of her invaluable help, my husband and I feel equipped to handle future births with hope and confidence.
