I knew from the beginning of my pregnancy, that hiring a knowledgeable doula would help me achieve my goal of a natural, unmedicated birth center birth. I do not have a single regret hiring Shannon to fit that role – she exceeded our expectations in every way. Through the process, she went from our doula to our friend and biggest cheerleader.
Shannon took time to educate us during pregnancy, guided me during my early and active labor and was my rock physically and mentally during the birth of our son (all 15 hours of it). Her expertise showed when baby was stuck and my contractions stalled, offering recommendations and support. Her calm and encouraging presence was so reassuring, I truly never wanted her to leave the room.
She held my hands and face, massaged my back, fed and kept me hydrated, applied cold washcloths. She smile and laughed with us during labor and cried with us during our postpartum recap. I could not have imagined my experience without Shannon – she is so passionate about her work and has a beautiful heart. Would recommend over and over!
