Our journey with Jen began in 2022 with my first pregnancy. Going from the joy of finding out I was expecting my first child to the tragic low of early loss of pregnancy was incredibly difficult…but Jen was a needed source of comfort and reassurance during such a difficult time. My husband and I said that using Jen for doula services was a MUST if we were ever to become pregnant again.
That time came early this year. I can say to anyone expecting their firstborn that’s on the fence about using Jen as your doula…you’d be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t have Jen in your corner. The prenatal education leading up to birth was invaluable and helped us to be well-informed on what to expect through each phase of the beautiful journey of pregnancy. The training on how to prepare your body for labor makes a difference. Lastly, spending DAYS with us in the hospital through a long, arduous and emotionally taxing induction helped us not to get completely swallowed up in the stress of making sure I and my baby were ok. We’re so thankful to have had a safe delivery of our beautiful girl.
It would’ve been very different had Jen not been there…we will always treasure her education and advocacy for us!
