I am so happy with my choice to hire Lauren as our doula. I have always had a lot of anxiety around birth and had concerns about the pain and stress of the experience. Lauren and I met a few times prior to delivering, and we talked through anxieties I felt, she gave me a lot of good information with what to expect, and we came up with a birth plan I felt comfortable with. She was wonderful and supportive during delivery, and knowing she was going to be present at the birth took a lot of the pressure off of my partner and I. We were able to relax a bit more during my pregnancy knowing we would have a calm, knowledgable advocate during labor and delivery. In our post partum visit she helped me get used to the hang of breast feeding which really helped with my confidence. Overall I am very happy with my decision and would recommend hiring a doula to anyone!
